30 Days of Gratitude Journal Prompts

I never knew what gratitude means.

I never could understand why people practice it.

I thought it is because we all have our own way of thinking and different cultures.
Until it changed my life.

Why is it so hard to practice Gratitude?

“Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation.”

Brian Tracy

For many years this quote made me confused. I never even practiced gratitude.   You see I thought life happens to me and not from me.
It was almost natural for me to focus on the things I don’t want in life.

I use to know exactly what I don’t want to happen.

Or that I don’t like that food. Or I don’t drink that kind of cooldrink. It got so bad I use to say I hate that and I hate this.
Without knowing it, life got worst and worst.

I use to think I will say thank you after I received something. Or I would be happier then.
As I child I always thought that it is bad manners not to say thank you when I got something. (It is!) But I took this up the wrong way.

I never said thank you before I received something. Why must I? I have not received it yet.
Little did I know this is the way to change your life.
Today I can tell you in all honesty if you use 30 days of gratitude journal prompts to help you, you will see the difference gratitude has in your life.
What will it help me doing 30 Days of Gratitude Journal Prompts?

What does happiness have to do with anything?
You see if you practice gratitude in a journal for 30 days and in your life, you start changing your life.

You can write your intentions down in a journal for 30 days. (like the example below)
After 30 days review it and see how you feel.
Heck, after the 3rd day you can already ask yourself how you feel.

It’s not happiness that brings us gratitude.

Now, who on earth does not want happiness?

How to use 30 days of Gratitude Journal Prompts?
Our thoughts that we have gives off energy.

If this energy is grateful and with feeling the universe sends us more of what we are experiencing now.
Scientific fact: If you write things down it seeps through you and you put it out to the universe in pen and paper. In other words: Using prompts, to create awareness of gratitude is one of the easier ways to change your energy field around you.
We don’t always think there is a lot to be thankful for.
Sometimes we take things for granted. I know I use to think. It should be like this. Why am I here then? (Well, that is the wrong way of seeing things.)

To End off.

We live in a world that we are constantly looking for improvement or something better all the time.
The moment we get something we are only happy for a while.

Then we start searching for something even better or bigger.
I will take myself as an example.
For many years I thought I will be happy when I have the best of the best laptop.
I finally got one and within 6 months I wanted a better one.

One that is faster and the color on the screen is more vibrant. I bought another one twice the price of the one I had.

Again 7 or 8 months down the line and I am wondering if there is a better one – one that can do more…
For many years I kept on searching for happiness outside.

Then I realized that the laptop I had is fine and started feeling real gratitude for it.
The moment my feelings changed long enough and I was happy with my laptop.

And thankful for it.
I got one that I use until today from my best friend.

She wanted my laptop because she liked it.

So I got a brand new one and she was happy with my laptop as she knew how to operate it and all settings were set for her.
Funny how things change when we are Grateful!
